Nothing can make someone shy away from running more then if they feel pain before, after and during a run. That is where a brand new running shoe company called Somnio is stepping in," Not just selling running shoes but solving problems."

The word Somnio is Latin for dream, something founder Sean Sullivan has always done. After spending years in development at Pearl Izumi, North Face and being a key designer of Specialized's Body Geometry shoes, saddles and shorts, Sullivan was experiencing some pains while training for the New York Marathon. He decided to get in touch with Dr. Andy Pruitt, his right hand man while designing the Body Geometry line. Pruitt made a couple changes to Sullivan's running shoes and sent him off to test the changes out. Finally running pain free, Sullivan decided that he needed to change how running shoes work by creating a line of shoes that fit to the runner not the runner to the shoe.
