San Lorenzo Valley High cross country star Anna Maxwell was selected to represent the United States at the Bupa Great Winter Run and International Cross Country event in Edinburgh, Scotland, on Jan. 11.

The event takes place in Holyrood Park, Edinburgh, and will air live on BBC One.

Six girls were chosen to represent the U.S. and will compete on the youth team in a 4,000-meter race.
