HAWAII STATE MEET RESULTS

Moku first edged state record holder Rey Cadiz of Baldwin to win the 110-meter high hurdles, 14.54 to 14.60 during a rainy final. Cadiz had earlier eclipsed his own state record in the event when he clocked 14.19 in the prelim.

Then, in the 300 hurdles, Moku ran 38.72 to beat Radford senior Michael Edwards (39.05) and Cadiz (39.29). Moku had earlier this season broken the Hawaii record in the event with 37.99.

St. Louis, led by 100 meters champion Roman Wilson, smashed the all-time Hawaii record in the 4x100 relay with 41.54 during the sunny conditions of the prelims Friday at War Memorial Stadium in Wailuku,  Maui.

In Saturday's wet weather, St. Louis ran 42.76 but still won by almost a second.

Wilson ran 10.68 seconds to win the 100 meters final.

Junior Narayana Schneider of McKinley won the 1,500 meters (4:04.40) and also the 3,000 meters (9:07.13).

Radford edged Punahou by .02 seconds to win the 4x400 relay, 3:22.95 to 3:22.97.

Senior Korvin Feagins, a member of St. Louis' 4x100 relay team, also won the high jump at 6-feet-7.

Punahou pulled big points out of the field events, including 1-2-6 in the discus and 2-4-5 in the shot put, to win the boys team title with 105 points.

Punahou also used depth to dominate the girls meet, scoring 109 points.

Buff'N Blue teammates Kaila Ronquilio (58.52) and Allie Little (58.82) went 1-2 in the girls 400 meters final and powered the 4x400 relay to victory.

Junior Chenoa Frederick from Kamehameha Hawaii won the 100 meters (12.56), the high jump (5-1), the long jump (18-2.75) and the triple jump (38-7). She scored 40 of her team's 41 points as the team took third place. Frederick has eight state titles in three seasons.
